My name is Ria & I am a (nearly) seventeen-year-old, atheistic catholic school girl living in the deep south. I'm vegan & currently studying existentialism for no reason other than personal interest. I'm rather quiet, but all too observant. I spend most of my time watching (I especially love to observe strangers in public places, which I guess is a little creepy). I'm very obstinate, especially when I don't need to be. I've bee involved in ballet for the past eleven years, so I suppose I'm an okay dancer. I love my piano. I also love to write, and it should be stated that this journal will doubtlessly be littered with my own (poor) writing. My favorite punctuation marks are semi-colons and parenthesis. I can't live unless my surroundings are organized and nicely scented. I'm cheap and cut corners when it comes to payment. Kurt Vonnegut is my favorite. I'm horribly flawed and happily taken by a wonderful boy.

The original purpose of this journal was to record my sleeping habits. I have been an insomniac for the past sixteen years and have thusly been asked to record the ups and downs of my sleep cycles since the time I was capable of doing so. In the past I've used pencil and paper, but I thought it might be fun to give livejournal a whirl. Thus, a lot of my entries will be sleep related. I'll probably comment on when I got to sleep, bitch about clinics and sleep studies and then talk about medications. There will be other information too, though (such as writings, photographs, comments about my daily life), so don't get bored already. I swear this isn't as mundane as it sounds, really! On an unrelated note, this journal is friends only! Comment to be added.
